A parchment is uncovered in Venezuela that might hold the key to the enduring mystery as to the genealogical records of the man who became known as Jesus. The document seems to indicate that one of the candidates in the race for President of Venezuela has that distinguished lineage. As corrupt U.S. oil men seek to rig the election as repayment for naturalization of their drilling rigs, church leaders ponder the consequences of the revelation and the president of the United States become embroiled, an all-out race ensures to solve the puzzle.
Anti-terrorism agent John Taft is days away from retirement when he is asked to travel to Venezuela to investigate the state of affairs. As the discovery of the parchment created chaos and unrest, he is drawn farther into a mystery that may change the course of his life forever.

John Taft, Special Agent with the National Intelligence Agency, returns for his final mission for the United States anti-terrorism force. Taft, who was near death at the end of The Tesla Documents, has seen disturbing images while in a coma. Are they real or imagined? Is the world he serves a vastly different place from what he has always believed? Can he ignore his ever growing cynicism for the machine he served and perform this last mission? While Taft grapples with self-doubt and even self-delusion, he is thrust into the center of a major world event.
Can a private intelligence corporation rig an election in South America as repayment for actions against an American oil company using elements from a pot-boiler novel? Will the leaders of the major Christian religions be able to withstand contradictions to their beliefs? Has the actual heir to an ancient family finally decided to come forth-and if so-why now? As always, against incredible odds John Taft works to find the answers. At the end of his mission, he is surprised by what he finds and who has been steering the events-and Taft will need to make a life-altering decision.
Is there another way he can work for the good of his country?
Fast paced and large in scope, The Cristos Parchment takes John Taft in an entirely new direction.

The Cristos Parchment John Taft Series Book 3 edition by Craig Dirgo Literature Fiction eBooks

This is the best John Taft series book yet. The ending leaves you in complete anticipation for where John Taft's story takes him next. My frustration lies in the editing. My version was a Kindle e-book edition. I can't tell if this was translated from another language or there were issues converting it to the digital format. This is yet another novel that has missing words, incorrect words (though the meaning was clear), terrible sentence structure and punctuation. Due to the aforementioned, some of the sentences deteriorate into gibberish slowing the pace of the read and doing a great disservice to the author and a great story.

The Cristos Parchment John Taft Series Book 3 edition by Craig Dirgo Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Because Craig has coauthored with Clive Cussler I wanted to give this book a try. Started off well, but it seemed to get bogged down in the middle. I would not recommend this book unless you are a Dirgo fan.
A poor Dirgo book this one. A very convoluted plot that was not convincing and Craig has taken to moralising as he writes. Not sure I need that in an action/adventure book. If I wanted political comment I would go out and buy a political commentary book. Still, it was OK, when he sticks to the fiction/adventure, Dirgo is good, his characters likeable and inspiring and his baddies, very, very bad. Just leave out the moralising.
this is a very good read and thought provoking
I enjoyed the book, but there was an UNFORGIVABLE amount of spelling and grammar errors. I highly doubt that anyone proofread it before publishing, and if someone did, he or she should be fired! It was extremely frustrating to have to stop the flow of reading to think about the distraction of a grammatical error, or to have to reread a sentence every few pages, to try to make sense of what was being said. It was a disappointing experience, and if this is what I can expect from Craig Dirgo's work, I will stop reading his books.
A weak ending to the trilogy. The first two books were very good. This one...not so much. Just my opinion.
Good read
Loved the first two Taft books. This is terrible, not the story, but the editing. I have to reread many of the sentences before I can reword them enough to get them to make sense. Loved the books the author wrote with Cussler, but I get the impression this book was not edited at all, and that takes away from the story.
